Fred and Gerry Finn are the proud owners and directors of the Freddie Finn Dance Studios in Riverside. Fred established his very first studio on February 1, 1954 in Riverside and has been quite busy in the dance industry ever since. Early in his career, Gerry joined Freddie in their common interest of dance and an attraction developed toward each other which eventually led to their marriage.
Over the years, Freddie and Gerry have personally taught literally
thousands upon thousands of dancers. Aside from those who were in the Inland Empire
locale, some came to them from the vicinities of Los Angeles and San Diego. Other dancers
came from as far away as Barstow and other desert regions such as Palm Springs for their
personalized instructions. The Freddie Finn name had become synonymous with the field of
dance. They are responsible for the development of many successful careers in the
entertainment industry.
To promote their students' training, Fred and Gerry have encouraged the Freddie Finn
faculty to keep abreast of the latest styles and techniques in the dance industry.
They both have been on the distinguished judges' panel several times each for the Regional as well as the National Finals for "Showbiz National Talent Competition" held across our United States. Fred was also their tap master teacher in a summer season circuit.
It has been a long, yet rewarding experience to reach what is presently a 55 year milestone of their studio's history. Their highest rewards come from the unity they feel with their gifted faculty and entire student body.
It has been often said by many that Fred and Gerry both are ideal role models for their faculty and students and are a true legend of their time. They have gone on to say, their development of the Freddie Finn Studios can be recognized as an institution that really is a 'Class Act'.
